Diane Martinson studied Theater and several styles of vocal music at the University of Minnesota, and was awarded a scholarship to study Musical Theater and vocal jazz at the MacPhail Center for the Arts. She has been featured in many national theater and music productions. Local productions include shows with the Northstar Opera Company, Minnesota Musical Theater Workshop, the State Theater, Opera Cabaret, the Dale Warland Symphonic Choir, and tours in musical productions with Troupe America Inc.
Diane Martinson is a professional singer and music event planner for weddings and special events in Minneapolis. She adeptly coordinates a company of talented wedding ceremony and reception event musicians in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and surrounding Twin Cities areas in Minnesota. Diane is one of several outstanding lead singers featured in Elevation Variety Band, a Swing and Variety dance band for weddings and special events. She is the director of The Caroling Company victorian costumed Christmas carolers. She was a featured company member of the annual Chelsea Hotel concert: A Tribute To Leonard Cohen's music at First Avenue,& the Fine Line club and returns annually to First Avenue night club on Good Friday to sing the role of Mary Magdalene in the popular concert production of J.C. Superstar(Jesus Christ Superstar). 2008 performance at 8:00 PM 3/21/08 $10 tickets prior or $12 at the door at First Ave.
